In early 1928, the Postema family confidently opened the pet shop Divoza, which originated from Dieren Vogels and Zaden. With less than 40m2 of retail space, a good concept in the village near Groningen. Hard work, full of passion and good entrepreneurship quickly ensure regional fame. Having grown into a fully-fledged company, the Postema family decided in the early 60s to continue as a specialist in equestrian sports. Passion for horses and demand for a specialism in equestrian sports ensure a new vision. With around 5 employees, Divoza celebrates its 1978th anniversary at the end of 50.  

The choice to choose the passion for horses proves to be a good one. In 1980, Divoza lets go of the brakes and the growth can no longer be stopped. What follows is expansion of the store on the Bosweg in Leek and more specialists employed. Vision is even more evident in 1992 when Divoza Zoetermeer opens its doors and Divoza starts orienting itself nationally. Divoza also starts online in 1998! with its first online store.  

In the millennium year 2000, the Leek branch moved to the Zernikelaan in Leek and the first equestrian megastore became a fact. The secret of Divoza is the unprecedented passion for horses. In the meantime, it has grown to 6 megastores in the Netherlands and a globally valued online store. With over 100 hard-working equestrian specialists in service, Divoza Horseworld is a highly valued equestrian specialist.
