The insects that we horse owners probably find most annoying are flies and horseflies. They bother our horses and can cause a lot of itching. To help protect your horse from these insects, many owners choose to put on a fly rug.
Fly rugs come in many models, sizes and colours. Each rug has its own unique fit.

Fly rug
This blanket has the standard blanket shape. You protect the body of your horse with it. However, you forget the neck, belly and legs.

Fly rug with fixed neck
A common fly rug is the fly rug with fixed neck. With this rug you also protect the neck of your horse, because unfortunately the horseflies and flies are also there.

Fly rug with loose neck
Another common fly rug is the one with a loose neck. This rug is often used when you also stable your horse with a fly rug. Often the neck is then removed from the rug.

Fly rug with belly flap
Some blankets have a belly flap over the belly instead of two surcingles. This way no insects can get to it.

Fly rugs with waterproof back
These fly rugs are ideal when the weather is changeable. Alternating sun and rain make it humid. Horseflies and flies will keep a low profile during this weather, but mosquitoes love this weather.

Fly rug with saddle recess
This fly rug can only be used during horse riding itself. The rug has a recess where your saddle lies between. This fly rug is a must have if you often go to the forest with your horse in the summer.
“Scientific research has shown that zebras are stung less than solid-colored animals because of their black and white stripes.”

A well-fitting boot will sink about 1 centimeter.
Actually very simple. Just go riding! A boot is for riding. By walking or, something that is also often suggested, by climbing stairs, you can quickly get your boot supple. However, a boot is not made for walking. That is why we always simply say: by riding a horse!
This material does not require any maintenance. Just a damp cloth is enough, these boots only need to be cleaned.
