Without a well-fitting cap, you will not get on your horse! At Divoza we have a large assortment of comfortable, beautiful caps. Everything is possible! Will you go for a cap with a turning system? So that you can easily adjust the size of your cap? Or will you choose a cap with one size, so that it immediately has the right size when you put it on? Or maybe you will go for a cap with a liner system? By changing the lining, you can make your cap larger or smaller.
All caps that you can buy from us meet VG1. The VG1 standard is a strict quality mark, whereby the riding caps must pass heavy tests in the field of resistance, stability, shock absorption and strength. Each cap states which quality marks it meets. VG1 is mentioned under CE EN 1348 and CE EN 14572.
The lifespan of a cap is approximately 5 years. The cap should be well maintained during those years, stored dry and not exposed to too much sun. We recommend purchasing a new cap after 5 years.
Had a hard fall? Then we recommend replacing the cap immediately. Unfortunately, a hard fall can cause invisible damage, which means the cap can no longer offer you the safety you need.
Types of measurement systems
Caps with a turning system are easy to adjust. By means of a turning knob, which connects to the back of the head, you can turn the cap larger or smaller.
A tip for a longer lifespan of your cap with a rotating system? Loosen the cap a little before taking it off, so that the rotating system of your cap does not stretch.

With a cap with one fixed size you always know for sure that your cap is the right size when you put it on. These caps have a long lifespan (if you don't have an accident with them) because there are vulnerable parts on the cap.

A cap with a liner system is ideal. The advantages of a cap with one size and a cap with a turning system in one! By means of liners you can adjust your cap larger or smaller. And when the right liner is in it, your cap always fits correctly when you put it on. Is your cap getting too small? Then you can easily purchase a larger liner (if the shell size allows it), so that your cap fits optimally again!

Frequently Asked Questions about Caps
Measuring your head for the right size is very simple. With a tape measure you measure the circumference of your head just above your ears and eyebrows, in addition you measure just over the thickest point of the back of your head.
Round the number of centimeters upwards so that the cap is not too tight, this can cause complaints in the long term. A well-fitting cap ensures optimal safety while driving.
Some Cap sizes are shown in centimeters and others in sizes S, M, L, XL. Below you can find a table to convert the sizes.

We always recommend purchasing a cap bag. It is best to store a cap in a dry and cool place.
A cap should sit horizontally, with the brim facing forward, around the head. There should be 1 to 2 finger widths between your eyebrows and the cap. This varies per head.
The cap should fit, but not be too tight. A cap without a turning system will always (with some exceptions) fall off your head when you hang upside down. This is because a cap with a turning system fits lower around the back of your head, which allows it to hold itself in place. So it is not necessarily the case that a cap that falls off your head when you hang upside down does not fit.
Place the cap on your head correctly. Horizontally, with the brim facing forward. Then feel between the edges of your head and your cap with your fingers. Does the cap fit nicely everywhere, are there no places where you can fit a whole finger between? Then the cap fits well.
The answer to this is simple: no. You do not need to buy a new cap if the cap is comfortable and fits well. Are you still in doubt? Then you are always welcome in one of our megastores so that our employees can check the size.
